I think that the risk for postpardum depression may increase if you have extra stressors in your life around the same time you give birth. For instance, if you move or have problems at your job or in your marriage. So if you do experience postpardum depression and notice that there may be contributing factors like this, then it will help you understand it and find help to get through it.
