OCD and hair pulling

I haven't read anything that specifically discusses this, but my impression is that hair pulling, or trichtillomania, is related to OCD, or obsessive compulsive disorder. Hair pulling strikes me as a particularly OCD type of behavior. So consider how OCD can be treated if you're seeking a treatment for trichtilomania.
