I just recently saw a news story on tv about tinnitas. They said that the increased popularity of ipods and other portable mp3 players may be causing an increase in tinnitas cases. They claim that the problem is actually the earbuds that most people use. The earbuds are clos to the eardrum and listening to music like that for hours on end could lead to hearing problems.
