Treatment for excema

If your excema is bad enough that you can't treat it on your own, then there are drug treatments available. Many of these treatments involve steroids, and if possible you want to minimize using steroids. It can have long-term effects.
Some steroids are applied topically and some are ingested orally. I would guess the topical steroids would be less harmful over the long term.
Nowadays there are also some non-steroid treatments, usually some sort of ointment that you put on your skin.
