Peronies Disease is a condition in which an abnormal mass (possibly scar tissue) develops on the penis and causes it to bend during erection. The cause isn't entirely understood, but it's possible that at least in some cases it may be induced by some physical trauma to the penis. It's also possible that it's caused by an autoimmune problem. In mild cases, the disease won't affect the man in any significant way, but in others it can make sex difficult if not impossible and lead to emotional distress and low self esteem.
