Although people with Aspergers Syndrome tend to be socially awkward, there remains the question of how they feel about social interaction. Do they feel a need to be social? Do they enjoy social situations? Do they want to have friends to spend time with? I'm not sure if this has been looked at much. Most of what I see is about describing the syndrome, but not so much about how the people feel and how much it affects their psychological well being.
