What's Wrong With Me?
Reumatoid Arthritis

Reumatoid arthritis is one of more severe types of arthritus and affects more women than men, although we don't know for sure why that is. Rather than being a degeneration of the joints with age, the pain is caused by the body's own immune system creating inflammation around the joints. Thus, it's an autoimmune disease.
It's unknown what causes this to occur.
