Sinusitus

Sinusitus is an infection or inflammation in your sinuses, which are connected to your nasal passages. You actually have more than one set of sinus cavities. They are situated roughly behind your forehead and cheek bones.
Sinusitus symptoms often make you think you have a cold at first, but they get worse and cold medicine doesn't help. What clearly differentiates sinusitus from a cold is when you begin having frequent headaches and soreness when you touch parts of your face (possibly even as low as your jaw).
Sinusitus can be relatively short lived (a few weeks or less), in which case it is referred to as acute sinusitus. Chronic sinusitus is when it persists for months and is resistant to treatment.
