What's Wrong With Me?
Carpel Tunnel Syndrone
Posted By: Dave Date: Monday, October 17 2005, at 12:16 p.m.
Carpel Tunnel Syndrone is caused by repetitive movements of the hand and wrist over a long period of time. When it was originally diagnosed, people who typed a lot were often the ones being diagnosed. As computers become more prevalent, so does carpel tunnel.
To avoid getting carpel tunnel from typing or to help relieve the symptoms, make sure that your wrists are pretty straight when you type. Make sure your wrists and forearms are resting on something pretty level with the keyboard. And take a break from typing and move your fingers around in different positions once in a while.
You can even wear a brace to help keep your wrists straight.
