Maniac Depressive

Manic depressive disorder is kind of an older term that's been replaced with "bipolar". At least that's the term that's most commonly used now. Not sure why; perhaps the diagnostics have been refined.

Anyway, it's a disorder in which you swing between manic an depressive periods. Sometimes you're full of energy and eager to do things and maybe fun to be around. Other times you're super cranky and full of anger and irritation. In these depressive periods, you tend to be very mean to people around you.

The mood swings can sometimes happen within a single day.
