Hepititus C

Hep C is usually transmitted from one person to another through sharing needles or unprotected sex. By not doing either of those, you decrease your chances of contracting Hep C almost down to nothing.
Unlike Hep A and B, Hep C doesn't usually go away on its own. In fact, for most people it doesn't go away ever. There are drug treatments available, but they are still a work in progress.
Fortunately, many people who have Hep C don't know it because they have no symptoms. Unfortunately, the virus still causes liver damage and can lead to serious health problems eventually.
