What's Wrong With Me?
Epilepsey
Posted By: Dave Date: Wednesday, October 19 2005, at 12:11 p.m.
Epilepsey, simply speaking, is a disorder in which the brain may respond improperly or overrespond to certain stimuli or events. Most notably, people with epilepsey experience seizures from time to time. How often this happens varies from one person to the next.
Epilepsey can't be cured, but there are ways to treat it. Nonetheless, it can have a profound impact on one's social life. The fear of having a seizure can make people want to stay away from social situations.
Epilepsey can be a result of improper brain development, or it can be cause by traumatic brain damage.
