Cirhosis involves irreparable damage to the liver, so once it's diagnosed there's no way to make it better. However, in many cases there are ways to stop any further damage and keep the liver functioning well enough to keep you alive. The treatments usually depend on what caused cirhosis in order to stop it.

However, one of the best things you can do if you have cirhosis is to follow the basic principles of being healthy. Eat healthy and get mild exercise. This will help you body stay healthy and put less stress on your liver. If your liver is already damaged, then you want to try and give it as little work as possible to do.
