Emphazema Treatment

It's beest to prevent emphazema if possible. And if you get it, then stop smoking (if you smoke) to help stop the progression. After that, there are various treatments available and some work differently for different people.
Broncodilaters can help keep the airways open to improve breathing. Not everyone gets great benefits from this though.
Steriod inhalers can also help ease breathing. But steroids can be hard on your body and using them regularly can potentially lead to other health problems.
Antibiotics may be necessary to treat any related infections in the lungs.
Although for most people, a flu shot isn't necessary, it's advisable if you have emphazema. The flu can cause much greater complications in breathing so you want to avoid it if at all possible.
If your emphazema is very bad, then you may need an oxygen tank. You may only need to inhale it a few times a day, or you may need to keep it with you continually depending on how bad your emphazema is.
