What's Wrong With Me?
Cystic Fibrosus
Posted By: Dave Date: Friday, October 28 2005, at 2:05 p.m.
As time goes on, people with cystic fibrosus are able to live longer than they used to. This is due to new drug treatments as well as advancements in how to care for people with CF.
For anyone with CF, it's important to find a doctor that understands the disease and stays current on new research, and it's important to continually stay in touch with that doctor to monitor the disease.
Since respiratory problems are the most common cause of death with CF, it's important to find effective ways to keep the airways clear. Things that you can do at home as well as things you need to do at a clinic. This is one of the most important factors in prolonging life as well as quality of life.
