Nuropathy is a disorder of the nervous system in which the nerve signals from the brain are not properly transmitted to some parts of the body. Usually, nuropathy refers to a problem with peripheral parts of the body, especially the feet.
For people with diabetes, nuropathy is a primary concern. Perhpas more than 50% of people with diabetes experience nuropathy in their feet. This may involve numbness or tingling in the feet, maybe a burning feeling, and eventually possibly inability to move the feet properly.
