I didn't realize that bethemethasone is a steroid. Those can really be hard on your body, especially if you use them regularly for extended periods of time. There are instances where that will be the best choice, but you don't want to do it if you don't have to. But some doctors are more willing to prescribe them than others.

It may be a matter of trying different things until you find what works best with the least likelihood of causing more harm to your body. And drinking water will probably help. Water is usually good for skin in general.
