Bipoler symptoms

A lot of people with bipoler disorder stop taking their meds. And this isn't a comment about you specifically because I don't know you. But when people are on the meds, their behavior is much more appropriate and tolerable for those around them. However, they don't feel "right". In fact, I think a phrase that's used commonly is that the meds cause them to "lose their edge". And for that reason, they stop taking them. Which of course leads to occasionally wild behavior again.
So it's a tough situation. You want to be nice to people and not feel angry. But you also don't want to feel like you've been dulled.
