Receeding gums help

The best thing you can do is prevent receeding gums by 1) brushing and flossing regularly and 2) using a very soft toothbrush and not brushing too aggressively. A lot of times, receeding gums is a result of just brushing to hard with hard bristles for years and years.
Also, regularly visit the dentist so they can keep your teeth and gums clean.
