Chronic bronchitus is an ongoing problem, recurring bronchitus. This is in contrast to acute bronchitus, which is just a single episode that goes away after a short time and is done with. Chronic bronchitus gets better, then comes back, perhaps over and over again. This is definitely something that you might want to see a doctor about.
