In Response To: Bursitus (Dave)
> I have been diagnosed with Bursitus and/or Sciatica. Is is possible to have both, and if so, how do I differentiate between the two so that I may seek the proper treatment? (The pain is in my left buttock but travels down the back of my left leg to the knee and often is associated with numbness and a tingly feeling. Most apparent is the pain in my left buttock, which ranges from a constant dull ache to an intensely excruiatingly sharp stab of pain.) My orthopeadic surgeon has referred me to somebody else but I don't see the point of seeing another Dr. if there is something I can do myself to alleviate the agony.) Thank you very much for your time and your help.
