There are 2 types of herpies - Type 1 and Type 2. Generally, herpes type 1 is what causes sores around the mouth. Type 2 is usually what we call genital herpies. This causes sores around the genital area. At present there's no cure for herpies. However, it's not something that affects you all the time. There are outbreaks, in which sores appear, then they go away for a while. In many cases, one of the most common contributing factors for an outbreak is stress. So if you can manage stress, you can a long way toward preventing outbreaks.
