WHAT QUESTIONS > SHOULD I ASK HER? I APPRECIATE ANY RESPOSES. THANK YOU My brother was just diagnosed with auto immune hepatitis. He also is on Imuran and prednizone. He told me they hope to cut his pred down next dr.s visit but he also had the indication from his dr that he would be on Imuran the rest of his life. I asked him if he was seeing any side effects yet from either medication and he said not yet. He is weak but he was before taking the meds. I think that is from the liver not working properly. My husband took Imuran for a differnt disease and he wasnt able to continue it. He got extremely nauseated, had fever and stayed tired all time he was on it, He also had bad headaches while taking it. The dr finaly took him off Imuran. I dont know if these symptoms follow with everyone taking Imuran or not--hopefully they dont. As with any auto immune disease it is very important to try to keep away from anyone with colds or any other sicknesses. You are very susceptible to getting anything at this time. I wish you the best.
